Students often struggle to review academic papers effectively without clear guidance and feedback.
The existing platform lacked visual clarity, structured interaction, and consistency, making the review process feel overwhelming and inefficient.
SOLUTION
Improved Visual Hierarchy
Step indicators, icons, and color contrast were restructured to create a clearer visual hierarchy, making the primary action and current stage immediately recognizable.
Contextual Feedback Structuring
Applied information chunking and progressive disclosure to separate weaknesses, suggestions, and status indicators, enabling users to process AI feedback step by step without cognitive overload.
Visual Identity & Mascot Design
Defined a scalable visual color, typography, and mascot illustration to ensure consistency, recognizability, and long-term brand coherence.
REFLECTION
This project reinforced the value of heuristic evaluation in identifying usability issues early and translating insights into meaningful design improvements.
